Santa greets Children

Good company and food follow the music & stories

Weather for the 2009 Festival of Lights celebration at Unity Hall was far from cooperative, but a full house braved the sleet and icy roads to enjoy an evening of stories and songs in the Hall. 

Story tellers Debby Leiker and Henry Zucker greeted children at 4:30 beside the fireplace in the downstairs parlor.  Santa made his arrival, spending time with each child.  A program of holiday music and stories followed upstairs, featuring music from Dan Evans and Pete Ruben,  Don & Bev Cantwell, and readings were presented by Mark Scheidelman and Bronwyn Davis.  A pot-luck dinner followed downstairs.

The event was sponsored by the Unity Hall Foundation in association with the Barneveld Committee, the Town of Trenton and the Trenton Area Chamber of Commerce.  The Unity Hall Foundation thanks each organization for contributing to the success of the event.
